Books by Brian Evenson on LoreReads
An American writer of literary horror and strange fiction, best known for story collections such as A Collapse of Horses and Song for the Unraveling of the World. His tie-in novels first came out under the name B. K. Evenson.
He wrote both Dead Space novels: Martyr, about Michael Altman and the discovery of the first Marker, and Catalyst, set eighty years later during EarthGov's early Marker work. Start with Martyr after you've played the first game. If you like it, his own collections are the same slow, unsettling kind of horror without the Necromorphs.
