Grant Blackwood

Grant Blackwood is an American thriller writer who has worked closely with two of the genre's biggest names. He co-wrote Dead or Alive with Tom Clancy and later wrote Jack Ryan Jr. novels, and he co-wrote several of Clive Cussler's Fargo adventures.

For Splinter Cell he took over the David Michaels house name after Raymond Benson and wrote Checkmate and Fallout, two standalone Third Echelon missions told in the third person, with Lambert and Grim backing Sam. Neither depends on the other, so start with whichever premise appeals.
