Micky Neilson

Micky Neilson is a writer best known for his work on Warcraft comics. He wrote Ashbringer, which follows the sword's history from Alexandros Mograine to his son Darion, and Curse of the Worgen, set during the fall of Gilneas. Pearl of Pandaria is a lighter adventure with Li Li and Chen Stormstout.

If you're coming from the games, start with Ashbringer for a story that ties directly into Wrath of the Lich King.
