Dead Space Books and Games in Chronological Order

In story order the two novels come first, centuries before the games: Martyr at the discovery of the first Marker, then Catalyst eighty years on. The Aegis VII comic and Extraction cover the colony's fall before Isaac arrives in Dead Space. After that it runs Salvage, Ignition, Dead Space 2 and Severed, then Liberation, Dead Space 3 and Awakened. It's a good way through on a second pass, once you know the games. The prequels give away parts of the first game, so it's a poor place to start.
