In 2006, Indonesian guerrillas led by Suhadi Sadono storm the US embassy in Dili, East Timor, and Sam is sent in while the building is still under siege. Sadono's grudge is against the American military advisers in Indonesia, and Third Echelon soon learns his threat reaches well beyond Southeast Asia. Lambert, Grim and field runner Frances Coen back Sam up.
