World of Warcraft: Book Two
Walter Simonson, Jon Buran, Mike Bowden · 2009
Lo'Gosh now knows he is Varian Wrynn, Stormwind's missing king, and he heads home with Valeera and Broll to take back his throne. But Stormwind's court isn't what it seems, with Bolvar Fordragon ruling as regent and young Anduin at its center, and a well-informed dwarf named Thargas has warnings of his own.
What this adds if you've played the games
This finishes the Lo'Gosh story and settles the Onyxia plot that the original game's Stormwind quests began. Chronicle later treated this version as what really happened. By the end, you'll understand the angry Varian who storms through Wrath of the Lich King, and why Anduin is so wary of him. Read it right after Book One.
Where it fits
- Read afterWorld of Warcraft: Book One
Continues the Lo'Gosh story straight from Book One and gives away who he is. Read Book One first.
- Ties intoWorld of Warcraft
Settles the Onyxia plot from the original game's Stormwind quests and raid, so it gives that storyline away. Do those first if you still plan to.
- Read beforeWorld of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
Explains how Varian is back on Stormwind's throne, and in a temper, by the time Wrath of the Lich King begins.
