Doom Books and Games in Chronological Order

Novels that retell classic Doom and Doom 3 from a marine's view

Chronological

Doom has three separate timelines, and this order runs through each in turn. First come the classic games, with the four 1995 novels next to Doom and Doom II, and Doom 64 after them. Then Doom 3's retelling of the Mars invasion, with Costello's novels around it and Resurrection of Evil two years on. Last is the modern series, starting with The Dark Ages and Revelations, which are set long before the 2016 game. It suits a replay once you know the series. On a first run, play The Dark Ages after Eternal, as the recommended order does.
